Cuetzalán region is localizated in the Sierra Norte of Puebla State. The soils are of a climate between cold and tropical of mountain, this climatic factor is favourable to development of cultivation, but that have accelerated the erosion soils. The study identificate the representative type of soils, their uses and agrological capacities, to determinate their potentiality uses. This study has three phases of characterization, diagnostic, and propositive. In the first phase, it is examine the bibliography, thematic cartography of INEGI, search information about soils uses, and field verification. The diagnostic included to determined the capacity and agrological limits, with the aplicating the Method of the United States Deparment of Agriculture (USDA) and the FAO (1976) too, and the last phase, it were determined the utilities of soils. It is concluded that more of 60% of Cuetzalán region should be destinated to the sustainable useful, e. g. the forest resources, wild life, ecological tourism and recreation, and others. This study recommend the pottery and ceramics activities using the clay bed non expansives and the caolin. As well as, it is suggest realize to do research to rescue, the biotical diversity and social of the region.
