Resumen
TEJEDA MARTINEZ, Adalberto y RIVAS CAMARGO, David A.. The human bioclimate in southern Mexico's cities under a double atmospheric CO2 scenario. Invest. Geog [online]. 2003, n.51, pp.37-52. ISSN 2448-7279.
From the concept of effective temperature (ET), a scenario of bioclimatic conditions for eight southern cities of México is presented by using results from regional predictions of general circulation models for the scenario of doubling the global atmospheric CO2 concentration. Current and future bioclimate graphs for the southern part of the country are presented. Despite the acclimatization process, the bioclimatic conditions will likely become warmer as a result of a greenhouse effect. By combining these results with population projections for the second half of the 21st century, cities with warm climates are esetimated to increase in five times the air conditioning requirements.
