This comunication introduce a glimpse into the difficulties Rosario Castellanos endured, both intimately and literary, through the letters she wrote to her husband Ricardo Guerra, which she asked Raúl Ortiz to publish after her death. The letters' interest lies primarily in the contradictions that emerge between her struggle for women's liberation in Mexico and her limitations in her sexual life. The difficulties thus revealed reveal a greater complexity in the writer considered an icon of women's liberation.
