Abstract

BUSTAMANTE BERMUDEZ, Gerardo. “De amor echele un oxo, fablel’e y allegueme.” A parody of medieval and renaissance topics in the Navegación en Yoremito by Abigael Bohórquez. Lit. mex [online]. 2017, vol.28, n.1, pp.117-138. ISSN 2448-8216.

This article analyzes the intertextual dialogue that the poet Abigael Bohórquez presents between the Medieval and Renaissance traditions in Spanish, in his book Navegación en Yoremito (Clemencia Isaura award, 1993). Bohórquez strips solemnity from tradition, subverts the medieval topics and courtly love, and carries them to the land of dissidence and sexual pleasures, sometimes from the pastoral atmosphere, others from the bedroom of the homoerotic as possibilities of defense of a love that takes place from the margins of the confession and absolute freedom.

Keywords : Poetry; Homosexuality; tradition; confession; dissidence.
