QUINTERO RAMIREZ, Óscar Alejandro y MUNOZ CONTRERAS, Daniel Fernando. Covid-19, inequalities and resilience in Colombian secondary education. Rev. Mex. Sociol [online]. 2025, vol.87, n.1, pp.41-68. Epub 21-Feb-2025. ISSN 2594-0651. https://doi.org/10.22201/iis.01882503p.2025.1.62702.
This article aims to understand how teaching-learning dynamics developed in secondary education in Colombia during the Covid-19 pandemic, and its impact on educational inequalities. Fifty in-depth interviews were conducted with eleventh grade students, teachers and directors of six schools in the country. Research results allow us to show how these experiences occurred from three main axes of analysis: public-private differences, urban-rural differences, and the socioeconomic conditions of families. It is concluded that education was resilient to stay afloat at the expense of exacerbating its most deep-rooted inequalities.
