LINDON, Alicia. Female spatial experiences in everyday movements. Rev. Mex. Sociol [online]. 2020, vol.82, n.1, pp.37-63. Epub 30-Jun-2020. ISSN 2594-0651. https://doi.org/10.22201/iis.01882503p.2020.1.58060.
The purpose of this text is to explore the spatial experiences of inhabiting dense public space, during the everyday trips on public transport of young women living on the eastern periphery of Mexico City. The study on inhabiting public space takes up Henri Lefebvre’s approach to the wealth and misery of everyday life, to ask whether these spatial experiences enrich the urban everyday life of the subjects analyzed. Empirically, spatial life narratives were constructed of women with the aforementioned social profile, which subsequently underwent a qualitative analysis to reconstruct the spatial experience in a multidimensional way.
