This article explores two key aspects in the study of sexuality: a) reflecting on the theoretical nature of the concept and b) proposing that sexuality -as a point of confluence between social standards and individuals' ethical action- can be regarded as an essential methodological tool for the analysis of oscillations in the balance of power between the genders.
