SUAREZ MILLAN, María del Carmen y BETANCOURT ARANGO, Juan Pablo. Computational chemistry as pedagogical mediation for learning inorganic concepts. Educ. quím [online]. 2023, vol.34, n.1, pp.70-85. Epub 26-Mayo-2023. ISSN 0187-893X. https://doi.org/10.22201/fq.18708404e.2023.1.77684.
In today’s world, various areas have emerged to support teaching-learning processes for today’s generations of teachers and students. An example is computational chemistry, which has been highly representative as pedagogical mediation, because, with the development of different software and technological applications dedicated to predictive analysis of chemical properties and research advances in the treatment of diseases, they have also presented a boom when used in the classroom, to foster an understanding of the concepts for learning chemistry. In this way, through the use of the technological application MolecularARweb, an intervention was carried out in a classroom, in which it was possible to analyze qualitatively the assimilation and understanding of inorganic concepts, and the pedagogical role that in turn provides the use of such applications, to explain concepts that are not understandable to the naked eye by students, thus achieving a significant variation in learning when using such a pedagogical tool.
