The philatelic iconography consulted and presented, accounts for the work of characters, such as Dalton, Davy, Berzelius, Thénard, Avogadro, Gay-Lussac, Charles, Loschmidt, Perrin, Wöhler, Kekulé, Bútlerov, Liebig, Mendeleiev, del Rio Fernández , Pasteur, Zinin, Berthelot, Kirchhoff, Döbereiner, Gadolin, Vauquelin, Pelletier, Caventou, Śniadecki, Heller, Bayer, Gmelin, Irinyi, von Pettenkofer, Nencki, Lampadius, Schönbein, Teclu, von Than and Voskresensky, have left their mark on history of chemistry.
