In this work the authors address the importance of Mario Molina’s work on CFCs in the construction of a new way of doing science, in communication with different scientific, political and social actors and for the construction of a scientific citizenship; We relate this case to the emergence of sociohumaistic subjects in the Faculty of Chemistry of the UNAM, and, especially, towards three subjects: Science and Society, Philosophy of Science and Scientific Communication. We conclude that Mario Molina’s work is a direct precursor of this area at the faculty.
