The methodology was descriptive, exploratory and quantitative approach, with the application of a questionnaire with 21 semi-structured questions. The subjects were students of the 3rd year of high school at three public schools located in Amazon countryside, in Coari city. The student s majority like to study Chemistry, they know of its applicability, but they feel difficulties, mainly in the contents that involve mathematic.
