There are many transversal pedagogical activities which allow to relate different subjects. This article is focused on relating chemistry to music, art and history through the example of the forge.
This work is aimed at teachers, who later will be able to adapt the content according to the level of their students. The topics analyzed are as follows: 1. Methodology and pedagogical aspects, 2. The rites of the blacksmiths during the Prehistory, 3. The forge in construction in the early days of music theory, 4. The forge as a source of musical inspiration, 5. The forge in flamenco: "El Martinete" and 6. Epilogue. The forge in Velázquez's art.
