Workshop for faculty, developed for the Jornada de Enseñanza de la Tabla Periódica ¿base de datos o piedra filosofal? From a didactic of Problem Based Learning, I propose to teach the Periodic Table with a symbolic heuristic function, so that the student develops Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS), and to exercise scientific argumentation. I pose learning activities, supported from the SOLO taxonomy, to guide the student explain the electrical conductivity in the materials, from an initial exploration of electronegativity.
