Attitudes in school chemistry are related to the predisposition of teachers and students towards different dimensions and conditions of the science class. Therefore, evaluating them is relevant, allowing to determine how they are propitiated, developed, configured and reconfigured to contribute to a better environment for learning and teaching chemistry. This paper proposes a construct of attitude sustained in complementary theoretical frameworks that allow to design and validate a preliminary instrument for the evaluation of attitudes in the secondary chemistry class. The results showed a high reliability of the instrument, providing sufficient evidence to continue in this line of research.
