In the present work, a simple and low-cost stability study is proposed to determine the expiration date of an oral suspension of a β-lactam antibiotic. This activity can be carried out as an experimental proposal of undergraduate, using reagents and measurement instruments usually found in laboratories in schools. The activity is flexible and can be related to the different programmatic contents of the subjects and requires reasonable time to be fully developed within the duration of the semester course.
