Abstract
DEL MORAL SIMANEK, Raúl Jesús and VACA RODRIGUEZ, Juan Guillermo. Administración de la pesquería del atún aleta azul en Baja California: Una visión global. Frontera norte [online]. 2009, vol.21, n.41, pp.151-175. ISSN 2594-0260.
The administration of the bluefin tuna fishery in the northwest region of our country depends upon having a global vision over this resource, which is shared mainly with Japan, whose captures ascend to 74 percent of the total catch and consume almost 100 percent of the total production. It is important to consider that this specie reproduce south of japan and only a fraction of it migrate to Mexican coasts of the Baja California peninsula, therefore the management given to this valuable resource by our fishery authorities will not render results unless we establish a joint administration with the Japanese.
