This essay shows the different fertility levels over young women m different countries and regions that appear during the final stages of the demographic transition, specially in Mexico's young women, where the unequal regional development has had a variable population evolution in some states of the northern border of the country. Indicators suggest the important fertility level increase and the necessity for new policies to confront it.
