In this paper we analyze the impact of migration and transborder relationships on the transformation of the religious field at Mexico's northern border area. Through the use of statistic and ethnographic evidence, we argue that, contact with a more religiously diverse environment and migration, confer singular characteristics to the border religious field. However, this singularity does not necessarily imply the diversification of religious affiliations of the inhabitants of the region.
