LAREDO, Alberto Lopez. Indigenous peoples in Mexico City: from legislation to people of San Sebastián Xoco’s struggle. Argumentos (Méx.) [online]. 2024, vol.37, n.104, pp.93-115. Epub 11-Ago-2025. ISSN 0187-5795. https://doi.org/10.24275/uamxocdcsh/argumentos/2024104-04.
This text offers a tour through the legislation around indigenous peoples in Mexico City, including the San Andrés Larráinzar agreements of 1994, as many of its points were taken up in documents about indigenous peoples. The definition of indigenous peoples and the rights that it grants are recovered, as well as the requirements to be so, present in the documents already mentioned. Furthermore, through the analysis of the case of the town San Sebastian Xoco, it is noted the current situation faced by the indigenous peoples who lost their denomination in the last registry.
