This paper makes a revision of Hegel's State theory to evaluate its currency and validity. The text proceeds taking away the habitual interpretative horizon of politic phenomena, according to which Hegel's theory points to totalitarian conclusions or keeps inscribed, disfigured, in a finalist theory of history. According to Hegel, the State reveals as a process of intersubjective relations constituted of moments or stages that constitute itself as a life community rationally founded. From this perspective, we affirm, the hegelian concept of State is fully vigent.
