The article analyzes the academic production in Archival Studies in four scientific journals from 2019 to 2023. Using a systematic literature review methodology (SLR), it was identified that the most discussed topics in Latin American countries are the training of professionals in Archival Studies and the strengthening of archive legislation, while in Europe and North America, those topics convey human rights archives, memory and dissident archives. In the same way, the study expounds the most representative countries, authors and methodologies in archival academic production from the journals Archivaria, Archival Science, Revista Interamericana de Bibliotecología and Investigación Bibliotecológica: archivonomía, bibliotecología e información to highlight the research trends that this field of knowledge has experienced in the last years.
