A methodological approach for the elaboration of a guide to information sources is presented. After studying several of these guides in Spanish, and analysing different methods applied to the creation of bibliographies, recommendations are made by the author for building this type or resource, bearing in mind that the experience gathered on the subject is essentially practical and not theoretical.
