In this interview with sociologist Harriet Zuvkerman, a professor emeritus in Columbia University’s Sociology Department, she briefly runs through her family and scholarly background. She also respectively evaluates some of her books, such as Scientific Elite: Nobel Laureates in the United States and The Outer Circle: Women in the Scientific Community. Finally, she reflects on the role of women in science and recent developments in measuring academic activity.
