PEREZ MUNOZ, Sergio Alejandro. Reflections on an Articulated Design of Metropolitan Economic-Political Study and the Analysis of Local Social Reproduction in the Puebla-Tlaxcaltec Valley. Sociológica (Méx.) [online]. 2023, vol.38, n.108, pp.205-241.  Epub Apr 12, 2024. ISSN 2007-8358.

This essay focuses on making the process of urbanization-metropolitanization of the Puebla-Tlaxcaltec Valley intelligible. It does this both on a macro-regional level and in the sphere of the daily lives of those living there. Thus, the author deals with the general process of the valley’s urbanization, the theoretical crosscutting issues that, from the standpoint of Marxist political economy and the sociology of social reproduction, turn this into an object of knowledge, and the methodological configurations appropriate for doing so.

Keywords : urbanization process; metropolitanization; Puebla-Tlaxcaltec Valley; accumulation; social reproduction.
