Abstract

This article briefly reviews the tenets that gave rise to social constructivism, as well as its main hypotheses and concepts. The author also explains certain differences and agreements that some gender researchers have expressed about it, linked to different categories and conceptualizations derived from other fields of study, which, despite not being inspired in the discussions in the social constructivist approach, share with it many important bases for the analysis of gender and technology.
