HERNANDEZ MORENO, María del Carmen y ALCANTARA NIEVES, Nehiby. Citizenship Building in Social Organizations: a Proposal for an Analytical Framework. Sociológica (Méx.) [online]. 2017, vol.32, n.92, pp.99-139. ISSN 2007-8358.
The loss of legitimacy of neoliberal policies cultivated a renewed interest in the study of citizenship, from the unequal redistribution of the goods and evils of this regime, to the social recognition of a diversity of individual identities and the coexistence of different patterns of linkage between actors and social practices that contribute to the construction and exercise of certain types of citizenships. Given the relevance that is conferred to social organizations during the process of citizenship building, we propose a model to analyze if those processes are developing inside them and what types of citizenship they produce.
