Abstract

SABIDO RAMOS, Olga  and  GARCIA ANDRADE, Adriana. Love as a Social Link: With Elias and Beyond Elias. Sociológica (Méx.) [online]. 2015, vol.30, n.86, pp.31-63. ISSN 2007-8358.

This article recovers the personal pronoun "we" for thinking about love in the couple from a relational perspective. The authors identify three analytical levels for empirical research of the loving "we": semantics, situation, and enminded bodies. They establish the scope of Elias and other authors in the study of love. They reiterate the timeliness of Elias's diagnostic of individualization and explain how, beyond Elias, it is possible that the thresholds of civilizing sensibility can be resignified. Finally, they look to neurology to enrich the Elisian argument about the intensity of "we" in love, as an affective, bodily experience.

Keywords : Elias; love in the couple; sensibility; affective link.
