This article attempts to describe and analyze the citizenship of young people with regard to political parties. Young people’s participation in party structures make up much of the national political situation and even condition the possibility of enriching democratic life or returning to authoritarianism. The description of their forms of participation and the analysis of the trust-mistrust in these structures is important for recognizing not only young people’s political culture, but also to reflect about the necessary reframing of the vital functions of political parties in Mexico.
