Between the 1930s and 1940s, several vaccines were discussed and tested in Argentina to combat tuberculosis. However, only one was legitimized by a part of Creole medicine: BCG (Bacillus Calmette Guérin) elaborated at the Pasteur Institute in France. The BCG was introduced to Argentina by the veterinarian Andrés Arena in 1925, from that moment on it was elaborated by three institutions: the Bacteriological Laboratory of La Plata, the National Bacteriological Laboratory and the Institute of Physiology of Córdoba. We are interested in analyzing the introduction, production, distribution and standardization of the BCG vaccine from the Instituto de Tisiología de Córdoba together with a network of national, provincial and municipal institutions between 1935 and 1941. The work is based on a qualitative methodology-quantitative based on university and provincial documentation and articles and medical theses.
