GARCIA, Matías y LEMMI, Soledad. Legislative Policy and Work in Horticulture in the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires (Argentina).: Origins and Continuities of Labor Precarization in Horticulture. Secuencia [online]. 2011, n.79, pp.89-112. ISSN 2395-8464.
The article consists of an analysis of Argentinean legislation on agrarian work in general and horticultura! work in the Buenos Aires metiopolitan area in particular. The period spans the sanction of the Workers' Statute to the present. It concludes that ignorance of agrarian labor legislation and failure to comply with it, as usually happens with salaried worker, and the lack of definition of certain regulatory frameworks -as happens in sharecropping- is responsible for the virtually total precarization of work in Buenos Aires horticulture. The presence of workers, mosr of whom are Bolivian migrants, at a disadvantage in relation to producers and with an ineffectual trade union and an absent state, continues to victimize a traditionally unprotected subject.
