The interview with Peter Burke has a two-fold purpose, the first being to reflect on the specificity of "cultural history" which he currently cultivates as a historian and of which he has carried out several historiographic analyses. The interview also sought to highlight and analyze the relevance of considering as a specific "genre" the series of texts Burke has written as a summary of contemporary historiography.
