The objective of this article is to analyze the percentage of people of Mexican origin, between 13 and 21 years old, who participated with their families in the trips organized by Los Angeles County to the border with Mexico, between January and October 1932. I show that it was an unrepresentative group in the total of those who mobilized. This was due, in large part, to demographic, economic, social and cultural factors that this work examines, which could help understand why, in general, this age group was one of the least representatives in the total contingent that moved to Mexico in what is traditionally known as the repatriation of Mexicans from the United States during the Great Depression (1930-1933).
