CARRENO, Maxim Repetto. The Intercultural Inductive Method in Roraima, Brazil, and interlearning with María Bertely Busquets. Relac. Estud. hist. soc. [online]. 2024, vol.45, n.179, pp.97-117. Epub 26-Ago-2024. ISSN 2448-7554. https://doi.org/10.24901/rehs.v45i179.1065.
This text reviews the experiences of dialogue and collaboration with María Bertely Busquets, with whom I was able to share and work together. It explains how the Intercultural Inductive Method (IIM) influenced our work training indigenous teachers in Brazil, in the Intercultural Bachelor's Course of the Insikiran Institute of Indigenous Higher Education at the Federal University of Roraima, showing different moments of epistemological ruptures and multiple learnings.
The application of the Intercultural Inductive Method in Brazil has been interesting and brought diverse inspirations in the training of indigenous teachers from the Macuxi, Wapichana, Ingarikó, Patamona, Taurepang, and Wai Wai peoples in Roraima, as well as others in different regions and States. It has not been a mechanical application but a critical review and update, about which María recognized the Method's potential to make and even promote educational innovations.
