Rev. educ. sup [online]. 2023, vol.52, n.206, pp.87-116.  Epub June 23, 2025. ISSN 0185-2760.  https://doi.org/10.36857/resu.2023.206.2488.

This work is an alternative of action that, from Higher Education Institutions (HEI), constitutes a strategy for their transition process to sustainability. The research was carried out through a case study, whose unit of analysis was an HEI in Querétaro. The application of the Sustainability Model for HEIS is presented in four areas: environmental sustainability, social responsibility, economic viability and institutional relevance, used to quantify their sustainability actions.

Keywords : Higher Education Institutions; Environmental sustainability; Social responsibility; Institutional relevance; Economic viability.
