Sustainable development is related to environment, equitable distribution, social participation, inter culturality, creativity, self realization, cultural autonomy and spiritual topics. Universities might lead the whole society. Their sustainability model design implies describing scenarios. This work treats possible stages as the construction of scenes viability in the institutions of higher education reviewing several authors. These steps are meant to be the first ones, to later on make an ad hoc stage, to submit it to legitimization by means of technologies(skills) for the achievement of consensus in the community of the institution and to put it in operation.
