The objective of this article is to analyze the characteristics and implications of education for citizenship and peace from the perspective of resistance theory and critical pedagogy. This, with the purpose of contributing to the understanding of postulates that support these educational processes, as well as defining methodological aspects that contribute to the shaping of relevant educational actions around peace and the exercise of citizenship. The analysis carried out highlights how education for citizenship and peace can be constituted as opportunities to contribute to critical reflection, citizen participation, and democratic action in teaching-learning processes. For this, it is important to generate deliberate actions and contextualized processes around critical thinking, autonomy, solidarity, and continuous learning to contribute from knowledge, skills, attitudes, and symbolic networks to social transformation.
