This research has as purpose to obtain information about the professional abilities of the students who graduated in a Spanish university. This empirical analysis has been carried out on a simple of students who graduated at the University of La Coruña. Along the analysis the author took into consideration all the cases in which the students graduated by competence affinity. This decision allowed to achieve significant results and to observe the differences in the way cross competences and the main items are assessed. The author achieved interesting conclusions about the professional activities by gender, the impact on life at work, the occupational structure of the graduated students and the most significant wages. It was also possible to observe that the competences that graduated students think they own, thanks to their training process, are very valuable to them.
