The neutrality of the money is a theoretical problem that occupies a central place in the development of the monetary theory. The objective of the article is to summarize different theoretical positions in relation to the neutrality of the money. The exhibition of the work is carried out from a historical perspective, since we consider that the reader Will be able to understand the current polemic better about the neutrality if he knows the most important theoretical antecedents that have given him origin. This investigation is bounded to the analysis of comparative static in the mark of a closed economy, it is a study of theoretical character. We concludes that in the mark of different theories, the violation of some ofthe suppositions that guarantee the neutrality ofthe money according to Patinkin, takes to conclusions of non neutrality in the short term, a result accepted by most of the theoretical currents.
