This study endeavors to explore how photography is capable of revealing the memory of rural life based on race, politics and gender, using small sample of testimonies and photos kept by a family, that lived in Sierra del Rosario for over a century: the Naites. The first section is an exposition of these peasants' journeys and strategies in going to villages in search of photographers. The second part analyzes the visual language as shown in the images and testimonies of photographers of the common people, the peasants and their families who were photographed.
