Abstract

ANTA, José Luis  and  LAGUNAS, David. Antropología y tecnología social: Mitos, saberes y realidades en torno a la mina en Real del Monte, Hidalgo. Cuicuilco [online]. 2011, vol.18, n.50, pp.229-244. ISSN 0185-1659.

This text presents a particular reading about the mining complex. Taking the example of Real del Monte, from a perspective that goes from local to global, mining arises as an exercise in social technology that has generated so much misery and repression as looting material. Underlying the mine are several semantic levels, some complementary to each others and opposing it that are discussed throughout the text.

Keywords : mining; technology; exploitation; myth; culture.
