This paper focuses on the current structure of the Catholic Church in Mexico, by which it is located historically as a "de facto" power in the sociopolitical sphere. Certainly this approch to Church is not is identical, nor has the same kind that has a political institution, but has analogies. Hence, the dangers are too similar not identical. An analysis of the Church in its institutional dimension alone, makes the mistake of reducing all of the Church to one of its parts (the hierarchy), situation that undoubtedly impoverish their knowledge.
