SOTO-CARDENAS, Miguel Ángel et al. Composition and Diversity of Lepidoptera Deposited in the Entomological Collection of CIIDIR-Durango IPN. Acta Zool. Mex [online]. 2024, vol.40, e4012718.  Epub 04-Abr-2025. ISSN 2448-8445.  https://doi.org/10.21829/azm.2024.4012718.

This review evaluates the diversity of Lepidoptera specimens deposited in the CIIDIR-Durango Entomological Collection, highlighting its importance in research, conservation, and educational support. The review primarily focused on the inventory of the contained species, as well as determining their richness, diversity, and evaluating the coverage of collections in Durango. The results revealed that the collection contains 1027 specimens distributed across 17 families and 86 species, with Noctuidae being the most represented. This collection is considered a valuable resource for understanding the distribution of these insects in the region, emphasizing its importance to researchers interested in their diversity. The need to continue collecting and studying Lepidoptera fauna is underscored to optimize information and knowledge about the diversity of this group in Durango.
