Abstract

RODRIGUEZ-LEYVA, Esteban; LOMELI-FLORES, J. Refugio; ROMERO-NAPOLES, Jesús  and  VALDEZ-CARRASCO, Jorge M.. Bothrideres cactophagi Schwarz (Coleóptera: Bothrideridae), parasitoid of cactus borer weevil in México. Acta Zool. Mex [online]. 2012, vol.28, n.1, pp.218-221. ISSN 2448-8445.

Bothrideres cactophagi was collected from Milpa Alta, Mexico City, the first reported locality for Mexico. This species was found as a gregarious ectoparasitoid on Metamasius spinolae prepupae. It is the only parasitoid reported from this pest in central Mexico.
