The modern Mexican legal system was born on June 11, 2011, when the constitutional reform on human rights came into effect. Our legal system must now confront a new national legal paradigm conformed by Mexico's constitution and human rights. It falls upon Mexico's legal forum -society and government, i. e., the State- to realize such novel paradigm amidst the multiple paths it offers. It is not enough for the constitution to harbor these rights. They must become a reality.
