In this paper we observe and analyze the ways in which expectations have been institutionalized and operationalized into functionally differentiated systems of modern society. We found that in peripheral currencies -unlike the central societies- used forms of operation are explained due to another type of differentiation obliterating, corrupting and denying the formal codes (legal-not legal: law, government-opposition: political). Moreover, these forms of operation are linked with a segmental and hierarchical logic, instead of functional system operations.
