International clinical guidelines aimed at improving the management of multiple sclerosis are difficult to apply to the Mexican health system. This guideline, developed by a group of expert neurologists, members of the Mexican Committee for the Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis (MEXCTRIMS), aims to standardize the criteria for diagnosis and treatment of multiple sclerosis in Mexico, adapting them to the particular characteristics of the Mexican health system, to offer the neurologist an agile and useful consultation tool, applicable to each setting. This paper corresponds to the part of the guide focused on treatment.
