This article presents a sustainable alternative for the reuse of excavated soil in Chiapas through the production of Compressed Earth Blocks (CEBS), for social housing masonry systems. The study was conducted at the Faculty of Architecture of Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Chiapas (UNACH), where a CL - type soil (inorganic clay of medium plasticity) was characterized and evaluated in mixtures compensated with river sand and stabilized with 10% Portland cement. Physical and mechanical tests were carried out in accordance with the NMX-C-508-ONNCCE-2015 and UNE 41410 standards. The resulting cebs achieved compressive strengths ranging from 25.71 to 66 kg/cm2, demonstrating that, through granulometric adjustments, it is possible to transform an abundant waste material into a functional raw material.
