Resumen
NUNEZ RAMIREZ, Marco Alberto; MERCADO SALGADO, Patricia y GARDUNO REALIVAZQUEZ, Karla Alejandra. Validity of an instrument to measure intellectual capital in firms. Investig. adm. [online]. 2021, vol.50, n.128, 12804. Epub 23-Ago-2021. ISSN 2448-7678. https://doi.org/10.35426/iav50n128.04.
Objective:
To identify the stability among the validity results of the construct, convergent and discriminant of an intellectual capital instrument.
Quantitative method:
Statistical analysis of three types of validity, previous back translation (English-Spanish- English) of the questionnaire; non-probabilistic sample of 226 companies in Mexico and Bolivia; calculation of the exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, average variance extracted and Fornell-Larcker criterion.
Results:
The convenience of applying different tests to obtain the validity of an intellectual capital instrument is confirmed.
Originality:
To prioritize the theoretical over the statistical in the analysis of the validity of instruments; confidence in replicating this questionnaire in similar contexts.
Limitations:
Type and size of the sample; marginal inclusion of the content validity.
