Resumen
AYALA-RAMIREZ, Suhey y CASTILLO-GIRON, Víctor Manuel. Knowledge transfer in raicilla production: A network analysis approach. Estud. soc. Rev. aliment. contemp. desarro. reg. [online]. 2025, vol.35, n.66, e251606. Epub 29-Abr-2026. ISSN 2395-9169. https://doi.org/10.24836/es.v35i66.1606.
Objective:
To analyse knowledge transfer in raicilla production in Jalisco and determine what factors influence this process to understand the differences in knowledge transfer between producers who have learned traditionally and those who have adopted more modern methods.
Methodology:
Mixed approach combining qualitative and quantitative methods. Based on Nonaka's knowledge creation model, semi-structured interviews were conducted with raicilla farmers and quantitative network analysis was applied to identify patterns of interaction and collaboration.
Results:
Reveal that producers using traditional methods have greater centrality and are more influential in the knowledge network, highlighting the importance of preserving and promoting these practices.
Limitations:
The sample of raicilla producers was limited to members of the Consejo Mexicano Promotor de la Raicilla, which could limit the view of other products that are not part of the Council.
Conclusions:
The transmission of knowledge in raicilla production is emphasized as a dynamic, contextual, and heterogeneous process. Recognizing the key actors and the contexts in which knowledge is generated, transmitted, and reinterpreted is essential to ensuring the cultural continuity and sustainability of the raicilla sector.
