GARCIA HERNANDEZ, Kassandra Johanna; PALMEROS Y AVILA, Guadalupe y COETO CALCANEO, Irma Alejandra. Dynamics of coexistence and leisure adopted by university students in the post-pandemic context. RIDE. Rev. Iberoam. Investig. Desarro. Educ [online]. 2024, vol.14, n.28, e634. Epub 11-Nov-2024. ISSN 2007-7467. https://doi.org/10.23913/ride.v14i28.1840.
The present study focuses on analyzing the coexistence and leisure dynamics proposed by university students in the post-pandemic context. The main objective is to identify the strategies and activities that students have implemented to maintain healthy and safe coexistence, adaptation, and permanence. To achieve this, a quantitative investigation was conducted through the administration of two Likert-scale questionnaires. The results indicate that students have implemented various strategies to maintain healthy and safe coexistence, revolving around the organization of outdoor activities, the implementation of hygiene and social distancing measures, and the promotion of communication and dialogue among themselves. Furthermore, it was found that there is currently a shift in the willingness to modify learned social practices as well as regarding the safety of gatherings in public spaces. However, there is a division of opinions among university students who do not agree with social distancing. These results can be of great utility for university authorities as they provide valuable information on the coexistence and leisure dynamics adopted by university students.
